WOODMERE - The Federal Emergency Management Agency says that it will close its recovery center in Woodmere tonight.

Officials say the center has seen fewer residents coming in seeking assistance, a sign that residents’ emergency needs are being met.

Centers in Long Beach, Island Park, Seaford, Freeport and Lindenhurst will remain open.

Residents have until Jan. 28 to register for federal disaster assistance from the agency.
