Yonkers Council president candidate Liam McLaughlin opens campaign headquarters

YONKERS - A veteran of Yonkers politics is hoping for a return to the City Council this year as president.

Liam McLaughlin, who served as a council member for ten years, opened his campaign offices at 634 Yonkers Ave. yesterday. The Republican says he's running on a platform of bipartisan unity with a focus on improving local economy.

McLaughlin is the only Republican running, but two Democrats, Ivy Reeves and Michael Rotanelli, will face off in a primary for their party's nomination.
