Two Long Island men who shot a Yonkers woman to death and wounded her husband and 12-year-old daughter inside their apartment in April 2010 were sentenced Tuesday to 75 years to life.

Sandra Hackley, 36, was fatally shot in the chest by Charles Parsley, 28, and Kasaun White, 29, who wore a UPS uniform to gain entry into her apartment building on Yonkers Avenue, authorities said.

The defense claimed throughout the trial that the wrong men were arrested in a case of mistaken identity. But the prosecution claimed that DNA found at the scene matched both suspects.

Nearly two years after the shootings, prosecutors say they do not know why the men -- who are from Rockville Centre in Nassau County -- targeted Hackley, who worked as a marketing professional in New Hyde Park on Long Island.

Lawyers for the two men did not respond to requests for comment.

White was recorded on video surveillance masquerading as a delivery man while entering Hackley's apartment building, prosecutors said. Parsley was captured on video pacing in the lobby before Hackley arrived.

In the moments before the shooting, the gunmen pushed their way into Hackley's apartment once her husband, Rafael Cornielle, opened the door to accept the "delivery."

Cornielle was shot multiple times in the doorway of the apartment, and their daughter was shot once in the leg. Both survived. Hackley was shot five times in the living room and died at the scene.

The two men fled through the building's front door and into a waiting pickup truck.

The trial began Feb. 24 in Westchester County Court, and the men were convicted March 17 on felony charges including murder, attempted murder, burglary and assault.

A third defendant who allegedly was the getaway driver, English Thomas, 28, of Uniondale, is awaiting trial in the case.
