The Geller siblings are at the center of the circle of “Friends” in New York City. Younger sister Monica (Courtney Cox Arquette) is an obsessive, ultra-competitive, formerly overweight mother hen. Older brother Ross ( David Schwimmer) is a lovelorn paleontologist with rage issues and multiple divorces under his belt. The two siblings find love within their close-knit circle, with Monica marrying Ross’s college buddy Chandler and Ross having a child with Monica’s high school friend Rachel.
