Renovated Franklin Square Colonial listed for $838,888
A renovated circa 1941 Colonial is on the market in Franklin Square for $838,888.
The 1,629-square-foot four-bedroom, two-bathroom home has hardwood floors, bay windows in the living room and den, and kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counters and oak cabinets refinished in a mahogany stain. There are new radiant-heated porcelain floors in the kitchen, dining room and main-floor bathroom.
The house has natural gas heat, a full finished basement, new boiler and redone landscaping.
Owner Domenic Biondi says his family bought the house in 2014 and completed renovations the following year. “We removed the walls in the house,” he says. “We did all new hardwood floors. We did all new tiles in the basement and first floor. We did the bathrooms over.”
The renovation also included the stair railings and fireplace, adds his wife, Karen Biondi, a real estate agent with Douglas Elliman Real Estate, who is listing the house.
The 0.11-acre fenced-in lot has a back porch with a fixed awning and a detached one-car garage with a storage loft.
“The neighborhood’s very family-oriented,” says Domenic, adding that the house is around the block from an elementary school.
“We’re about four miles from the UBS Arena and about six miles from Roosevelt Field,” he says. “So, you have access to everything, but the neighborhood itself is kind of quiet.”
Located in the Franklin Square Union Free School District, the home is also close to shopping and restaurants.
The annual property taxes are $10,034.
