Two men were arguing outside in Wyandanch on Saturday afternoon when one shot the other in the leg three times and fled on foot, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

An anonymous caller phoned 911, and the victim, age 42, was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to an email from the police press office. No one is in custody, and the weapon hasn’t been found. Neither man's name was released.

The shooting happened in front of 17 Jamaica Ave. around 1:25 p.m.

The press office said that the topic of the argument was under investigation.
