"American Beauty Star," Lifetime’s hit beauty competition series, is adding a Long Island beauty star to its judging panel.

Former supermodel and Hamptonite Christie Brinkley is part of a new trio of judges, along with Hearst Magazines chief beauty director, Leah Wyar, and fashion photographer Yu Tsai, joining the show for its second season next year.

During the 13-week competition, 12 contestants who are experts in makeup and hairstyling will go through a series of challenges in which they'll serve as "beauty directors" creating a specific look for their models. The grand prize is $50,000 as well as a spot on the beauty team for a Teen Vogue editorial spread.
