Suffolk police have released a sketch of a man whose skeletal remains were found in North Babylon last year in an attempt to identify him,

Police believe the man had been dead for about two years before being found.

A 911 caller reported finding skeletal remains in a wooded area of Southards Pond Park, south of Sunrise Highway, on Feb. 15, 2023.

The cause of death was found to be noncriminal, police said.

The Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office believes the remains belong to a male between the ages of 25 and 40.

He was between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet 5 inches tall, police said.

The body was clad in a black jacket with Nike Running on the sleeve, black pants with black-and-white basketball sneakers and a gray running hat.

A backpack was found near the body, but it is uncertain if it belonged to the man, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Homicide Squad detectives at 631-852-6392.
