VIRGINIA AND LARRY HERBST of Plainview were married July 18, 1943, at St. Brigid's Church in Ridgewood. Larry is a World War II veteran and a retired aircraft inspector. He is also a Knights of Columbus member. Virginia retired after a 24-year career at Macy's. They have four daughters and had one son, now deceased. They have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
SANTA AND RAYMOND RIZZO of Garden City celebrated their anniversary on June 7. A reception was held June 14 at the Jericho Terrace in Mineola. It was attended by their son, his wife, family and friends. Raymond is a retired member of the Nassau County Police Department after a 35-year career, and Santa retired as a secretary at Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park. They both enjoy traveling in their motor home to various places of interest.
CYNTHIA AND VICTOR SPINA of East Islip celebrated June 21. A surprise party in their honor was hosted by their five children and eight grandchildren.
MARGARET AND DANIEL DONOVAN of Plainview celebrated their anniversary Aug. 1. Their six children surprised them with a Caribbean cruise, which they took on Aug. 4. Margaret and Daniel are licensed private investigators and partners in Donovan's Investigations Bureau. Daniel is semiretired from the Town of Oyster Bay and is current executive vice chairman of the Nassau County Conservative Party. Margaret is retired as president of Donovan's Armed Guard Service Inc. and from the office of U.S. Rep. Peter T. King. They have 12 grandchildren.
AUDREY AND JOHN KEANNA of East Rockaway celebrated their anniversary on June 20. Their two sons and daughters-in-law hosted a family luncheon at Koenig's Restaurant in Floral Park. John is retired from the New York City Police Department and the U.S. Postal Service in Lawrence. They enjoy spending time with their five grandchildren and traveling. A trip to Hawaii is planned for October.
