BloomNet, a subsidiary of the Carle Place flower retailer 1-800-Flowers.com Inc., has a plan to increase its visibility by having its nationwide member florists "wrap" their delivery vehicles with BloomNet designs.

The company has a new agreement with The Color Spot, of Marietta, Ga., to design and apply the full-color designs to vehicles.

Vehicle wraps on vans, cars, buses and trucks typically include corporate logos, advertisements and other full-color graphics.

"As the exclusive nationwide vehicle wrap provider for BloomNet and 1-800-Flowers.com, The Color Spot will be offering its automobile advertising expertise to more than 7,000 BloomNet florists nationwide," the company said in a news release.

Among the Long Island florists listed on BloomNet are Kings Park Florist, Café's Florist in West Islip, the Flower Shop of Farmingdale, Hicksville Flowers, Caroline's Flower Shoppe in Islip, Ashirwad Florist in Bellmore, Atlantic Floral Showcase in Freeport and 1-800 Flowers retail shops in Syosset and Massapequa.

The BloomNet network provides member florists with access to wire orders, rebates and other services.
