At its holiday celebration Saturday, Stony Brook's Long Island Museum of American Art, History and Carriages will honor Douglas C. Manditch of Empire National Bank.
The "Holiday Celebration Gala and Silent Auction" starts at 7 p.m. at the visitors center, 1200 Route 25A, Stony Brook.
Manditch, pictured, of St. James, was part of a team that started Long Island Commercial Bank. He founded Empire, which is based in Islandia and has locations in Shirley and Port Jefferson Station, in 2008.
Admission to the museum celebration is $175. That includes dinner and a silent auction "on hundreds of unique gift items, holiday decor and original artwork."
