A business boot camp aimed at helping business owners take their operations to the next level will be held this week at SUNY Old Westbury.
Hosted by the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, the event will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Student Union Building at 223 Store Hill Rd. The SUNY Old Westbury School of Business is also a host.
Session topics will include selecting the best structure to support a business model, effective branding, using digital marketing to attract customers, building relationships with procurement representatives, securing contracts, and accessing capital.
Each session will last 40 to 50 minutes and include question-and-answer time with presenters, said Winnie Benjamin, coordinator of the boot camp.
The event will include about 20 vendors offering technical assistance resources, financial services, retail goods and other products and services.
The attendee registration fee is $75 and covers both days of admission and breakfast and lunch. Registration will end Wednesday, or earlier if the event sells out.
