Beth Granger has been named to the board of directors of the Long Island chapter of the Social Media Club. The organization’s mission is to expand digital media literacy, promote standard technologies, encourage ethical behavior and share best practices. Granger is a marketing and communications consultant and lives in Port Washington.
Jill O’Sullivan has been appointed president of the New York City/Long Island chapter of the Association for Operations Management. The East Meadow resident is a professor at Farmingdale State College in the School of Business and serves on the manufacturing executive leadership council.
Alan J. Schwartz has been appointed to the board of directors of South Shore Association for Independent Living (SAIL). SAIL was formed in 1982 by a group of parents who wanted to develop housing and support services for their adult children with a psychiatric disability. The Dix Hills resident is the principal at the Law Offices of Alan J. Schwartz in Garden City.
