In an all-cash $200 million deal, CA Technologies will buy a California software company that specializes in authentication and anti-fraud programs.

Privately-held Arcot Systems Inc., of Sunnyvale, Calif., is a "visionary in fraud prevention and advanced authentication," CA said in a Monday news release.

Arcot delivers its software to be installed on-premises, or to be accessed over the Internet on an as-needed basis, and most of its customers buy through subscriptions. Its products “help prevent fraudulent transactions for about one million online credit card transactions each day," CA said.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of September.
