CA, Inc. is launching a new publishing venture, CA Press, "to bring business and information technology thought leadership books to market," the Islandia-based company said Monday.
The company said its first publication, "Under Control: Governance Across the Enterprise," is already on sale at Amazon.com and other retailers.
Don Ferguson, executive vice president and chief technology officer at CA, said in a statement, "CA experts are among the leading authorities on today's most compelling business and IT issues. We are delighted to introduce CA Press as a resource for professionals seeking to advance their strategic skills and improve the performance of their IT environments and organizations."
Ferguson said, "our first book on governance is an example of a true industry innovator providing insight and experience on a critical IT topic."
The first book's subject matter ranges from governing organization policies as a whole "instead of in silos", to a department-by-department look at the role and impact of governance, to governing green initiatives, to the role of the board of directors.
Among the authors are Jacob Lamm, Sumner Blount, Stephen Boston, Marc Camm, Robert Cirabisi, Nancy E. Cooper, Galina Datskovsky, Christopher Fox, Kenneth V. Handal, William E. McCracken, John Meyer, Helge Scheil, Alan Srulowitz and Robert Zanella.
CA Press is a strategic collaboration with Apress, a leading technical publisher devoted to meeting the needs of information technology professionals, software developers, and programmers.
The book is available at Amazon and other retailers at a list price of $39.99. For further information and an eBook version visit www.apress.com/book/view/1430215925. (Click here to connect.)
