CA Technologies employees will volunteer in 17 spots worldwide to promote Earth Day, as part of the Islandia-based company’s Green Week observance this month.

One of the locations -- the beach at Robert Moses State Park -- will be staffed by employees from Islandia. CA workers will volunteer from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 22 for clean-up and helping protect dunes by planting grasses.

CA workers will volunteer in 11 U.S. locations and six more overseas. The locations are Islandia; Brooklyn; Atlanta,  Austin  and Plano, Tex.; Cary, N.C.; Ewing, N.J.; Framingham, Mass.; Lisle, Ill.;  Pittsburgh, and Tampa. Overseas employees will volunteer in Australia, Canada, Columbia, Denmark, India and Spain.

"We are proud to participate in Earth Day and applaud our employees for volunteering to help many worthwhile projects and organizations," Bill Hughes, chief communications officer, CA Technologies, said.

"As environmental concerns continue to evolve, we recognize the importance in supporting programs in communities where we have a presence. It's remarkable how even a single volunteer can make a positive change by addressing a critical environmental concern."
