Three Long Island companies have been named to Deloitte's 2015 Technology Fast 500 list of the fastest-growing North American companies in the technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and energy tech sectors.
Farmingdale-based Cemtrex Inc., a maker of electronics, emission monitors and instruments for factories, was ranked No. 282 based on 247 percent cumulative revenue growth over the fiscal years 2011 through 2014.
To be eligible for the list, companies also must have proprietary intellectual property or technology that is sold in products that contribute to a majority of operating revenue.
Dealertrack Inc., a Lake Success maker of software for auto dealerships, was ranked No. 430 with growth of 142 percent. In October, Atlanta-based Cox Enterprises announced it had closed on its $4 billion acquisition of Dealertrack.
No. 495 on the list was Westbury-based Vasomedical Inc., a medical device maker with 113 percent growth.
Topping Deloitte's list released earlier this month was Manhattan software maker StartApp with growth of 21,984 percent. StartApp's advertising platform helps companies make money from their mobile apps.
