More than 60 employers will participate in a job fair for veterans and their families on Thursday in Farmingdale.

The event, part of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Hiring Our Heroes program, will begin at 10 a.m. in the Farmingdale Armed Forces Reserve Center, 25 Baiting Place Rd.

More than 300 jobs are in the offing, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said. The job fair is being hosted by the New York National Guard.

Veterans, Guard members, reservists and military spouses are eligible to interview for the openings.

In addition, a workshop on resume writing, interview skills and job search techniques will be held at 8:30 a.m., also at the reserve center. The workshop is being organized by the Manufacturing Institute.

Registration is required to attend either the job fair or workshop. Find it at the Hiring our Heroes website, bit.ly/1JROG1b
