Dental practice supplier Air Techniques Inc., of Melville, on Wednesday unveiled a new website.
Air Techniques makes air compressors, vacuum systems and other advanced dental practice products.
This week Air Techniques also said it will be able to deliver its products more quickly after its launch of a third-party U.S. logistics network with warehouses in Auburn, Wash., El Paso, Tex., and Elk Grove Village, Ill. Its vacuums, compressors and other products will ship by FedEx from these locations.
The company will continue to sell and ship orders from the Melville headquarters and from it western U.S. office in Corona, Calif.
The company will add a fourth logistics warehouse in February, in Tarboro, N.C.
Air Techniques said its new website has more content, three-dimensional images of products, dealer locator maps, streaming media, and can be translated into 50 languages.
It includes new graphics and navigation elements, along with a newsletter sign-up feature and icons linking to Twitter and Facebook.
The health care and special markets divisions of Air Techniques are also integrated into the website.
A portal for dealers gives access to prices and service training schedules.
"Air Techniques has taken quality steps to ensure our dealers have the products they need in their hands to service their customers efficiently," Lou Guellnitz, Air Techniques director of North American sales, said in a statement.
Air Techniques also disclosed Monday that it has hired Len Tanne, of Sydney, Australia, as territory manager for Australia and New Zealand. Born in South Africa and with a background in high-tech engineering, Tanne, is a former Special Forces lieutenant with the South African Defense Force.
