Mineola-based marketing and communications agency Didit announced it had acquired The Halo Group, a New York City branding and marketing communications firm.
The purchase of the business marks Didit’s 10th acquisition in five years, a news release said. Didit employs 125, and Halo employs 15. The price of the deal wasn’t disclosed.
“The Halo Group brings strategic talent and strengthens our foothold in Manhattan,” Dave Pasternack, Didit’s president and co-founder, said in a statement.
“It is the latest in a long string of decisive acquisitions on the part of Didit. . . . We envision the addition of The Halo Group to fit in well with our strategy, and are delighted to welcome the team to our agency.”
The Halo Group, whose staff has received industry recognition including the Telly, Webby and Internet Advertising Competition awards, has moved its office to Didit’s Manhattan location at 276 Fifth Ave.

The Halo Group, founded in 1994, represents international, national and regional clients in luxury goods, travel and tourism, higher education, and retail and financial services, and offers branding, creative, public relations, content marketing, and search engine and social media services.
