Update: The Dix Hills woman who was a finalist in a recent Dunkin' Donuts coffee video contest says she had fun writing her “first real jingle.”

Jenna O’Gara, 21 — who usually orders an iced coffee with skim and Splenda or a latte — is a singer-songwriter who works at a hotel.

When O’Gara attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, her dorm was right across the street from a Dunkin’ Donuts. “That coffee gave me the energy I needed to get my degree,” she said in an e-mail, noting she graduated in 2½ years.

O’Gara shot the video with the camera on her computer. “I started messing around with some melodies and lyrics for a little while, rehearsed it, and then hit record. I must apologize for how terribly cheesy I am at the beginning and end of the video, I can’t help it!”
