Aircraft parts maker CPI Aerostructures Inc. has a new $680,000 purchase order for military helicopter missile launcher assemblies, the Edgewood company said Thursday.

The Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation subcontract is for the S-70B Seahawk copter’s Penguin missile launcher. CPI Aero will start delivering the parts in 2011.

The S-70B Seahawk is sold internationally for use in both anti-submarine and surface battle operations.

The company makes replacement parts for out-of-production aircraft, production parts for use in major airframe modification programs and production and spare parts for aircraft platforms currently in production.
