Exec wins Teddy Roosevelt award

Vincent Basilice
Vincent Basilice of Holbrook has received a 2010 Theodore Roosevelt Award from Mather Hospital based on his contributions to the Port Jefferson facility.
Basilice is chief executive of New Orleans-based OceanSafe Building Systems, a company that provides housing and energy solutions to impoverished regions, and before that was a surgeon specializing in cosmetic and refractive eye surgery.
He is credited with helping establish the hospital’s ophthalmology department and holds two patents for ophthalmic drop dispensers.
