Free workshops explain how to buy a franchise

Long Islanders interested in finding out how to own their own franchises have a chance to learn more about the process during two free sessions on May 11 in Plainview.

The “Meet the Franchisor” workshops, hosted by Roslyn Heights-based merger and acquisitions firm the Kensington Company, will highlight franchises and business resale opportunities, as well as information on how to finance a franchise. The morning and evening sessions will be held at the Carlyle at the Palace, at 1600 Round Swamp Rd.

Attendees will hear presentations from representatives of 10 national and local franchise companies looking to expand on Long Island, including Chocolate Works and health and wellness franchise Phountain.

Those interested in attending either the lunch workshop, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or the dinner workshop, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., can register at FranchiseNY.com or call 516-626-2211. Lunch and dinner will be provided. The deadline to register is May 10.
