Lake Success-based organic and natural products company Hain Celestial Group Inc. has bought Orchard House Foods Ltd., a food supplier in the United Kingdom.

Orchard House supplies retailers, on-the-go food outlets, food service providers and manufacturers with prepared fruit, juices, fruit desserts and ingredients. The acquisition of Orchard House, with facilities in Corby and Gateshead in the UK, was for an undisclosed amount.

Hain Celestial expects the purchase of Orchard House to add $60 million to $65 million in sales for fiscal year 2016, the company announced Tuesday.

Founded in 1985, Orchard House was owned by Wellness Foods Ltd. The acquisition requires clearance from the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority. Until then, Orchard House will continue to operate independently.

“Orchard House provides us with the opportunity to expand fruit product offerings into continental Europe, as well as new product development with cold pressed juice and branded fruit product offerings in the United Kingdom,” Hain Celestial’s founder and chief executive Irwin D. Simon said in a statement.

Other Hain Celestial brands include Ella’s Kitchen, Avalon Organics, Alba Botanica, Celestial Seasonings, Earth’s Best and Spectrum.
