Communications professionals looking for new staff (or a new job), or who want to gain a financial partner or a consultant, are invited to a social media workshop next month in Garden City.
The Long Island chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators will hold the workshop from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11. The seminar, which will focuse on LinkedIn, is free for association members. Non-members pay $25. (If you want to join, click here.)
The workshop Connected Culture – Secrets of LinkedIn – Insider Tips that Work, will be led by author Jerry Allocca.
“In this upbeat and exciting workshop, attendees will learn how to leverage today's most valuable online business networking site, LinkedIn,” the IABC-LI says.
“They can now tap into the online community of 70-plus million business professionals and growing! Bring your laptop, work at your own pace, and Jerry will guide and support you every step of the way. This will be very interactive, and may venture into Twitter and Facebook as well.”
