It’s not too often that we associate royalty with college internships – but along comes Lauren Berger, chief executive of Intern Queen Inc., a Los Angeles-based internship site for students.
Berger, 26, a graduate of the University of Central Florida, held 15 internships during her college years, mostly, she says, because she started in her freshman year getting out into the work world.
She’ll be sharing her advice tomorrow at Adelphi University at 12:30 p.m. with high school students and again at 2:30 and 6 p.m. with college students. The general public, which could include parents, teachers, guidance counselors, is invited to attend these no-charge sessions, co-sponsored by the Center for Career Development, to be held at the Concert Hall at Adelphi University Performing Arts Center.
A national speaker, Berger says she gets questions that range from “when should I apply for an internship” to “what should I wear on an interview.”
