The fifth annual Town of Huntington Job Fair has been scheduled for Thursday, June 9, at Harborfields High School on Taylor Avenue in Greenlawn from 5 to 7 p.m.

A resume writing clinic, hosted by Family Service League, will begin at 4 p.m.

Among the dozens of businesses participating are: UPS, TD Bank, Suffolk County Police Department, One Stop Employment, Metlife, Gurwin Home Care, H2M, Cablevision, AXA-Advisors, Arbonne International and Leviton Manufacturing Co. The fair is “focused primarily on the recruitment and retention of Huntington residents for all skill levels in both blue-collar and white-collar positions.”

Additional information is available from Huntington Councilwoman Glenda Jackson, above left, at 631-351-3174. She is partnering with the Huntington, East Northport and Melville Chambers of Commerce.

“We are continuing to face economic hard times and I have experienced firsthand the outcry from the community for more jobs and more career opportunities,” Jackson said.
