East Northport accounting firm Lambrides, Lamos, Taylor LLP has been bought, its new owner announced Wednesday.
CapinCrouse LLP, a Greenwood, Ind.-based accounting company that focuses its practice on nonprofits, said the acquisition will allow it to expand its reach in the New York area. The company said key staff will join the firm and that Lambrides partner Robert Taylor is now a partner in CapinCrouse.
The Lambrides name will be retired at the end of the month.
The company has 11 offices around the country including New York City.
CapinCrouse was founded in 1972 and provides audit and tax advice to megachurches, higher education institutions and secondary schools, and international organizations. Lambrides was founded more than 80 years ago.
William Haller, managing partner at CapinCrouse, said in a news release that the two firms share a “mission and passion to serve not-for-profit organizations.”
