LI-based olive oil seller earns USDA seal

Hauppauge-based Gourmet Factory, which sells oils and Mediterranean foods under various brands, last year earned an official seal from the U.S. Department of Agriculture in an attempt to convince consumers that they are buying authentic olive oil. On Tuesday, July 18, 2017, company CEO Themis Kangadis talked about the impact the USDA quality monitoring seal has had on the business and its products.  (Credit: Newsday / Marcus Villagran)
