ACCOUNTING
Andrew P. Ross has been promoted to partner at the Woodbury accounting firm of Gettry Marcus Stern & Lehrer. The Great Neck resident has been with the firm since 2006.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Robert Guido has joined the board of directors at the Long Island Software & Technology Network. He is vice president of Oracle NATO business development for Oracle Corp. and lives in Massapequa. 

Michael L. Faltischek has been named chairman of the executive board of the Long Island Angel Network, a not-for-profit corporation that provides early-stage capital for Long Island-based companies or companies moving to Long Island. The Rockville Centre resident is senior partner at the Uniondale law firm of Ruskin Moscou Faltischek. 

Guy A. Lodico has been elected president of the New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education. He is director of technology at Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District and lives in Queens.

Rick Gavin has been appointed president of the board of directors of the Surety Association of New Jersey. He is an audit partner at the Jericho accounting firm of Grassi & Co. and lives in St. James.

FINANCE
Matthew Nartowicz has joined American Community Bank as assistant vice president and branch manager of the Commack office. The Ronkonkoma resident was branch manager and assistant regional manager with Citizens Bank.

Carol A. Allen has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer at People's Alliance Federal Credit Union in Hauppauge. The Northport resident was promoted from chief financial officer.

GOVERNMENT
The Nassau County Comptroller's Office has announced two new hires. Francis X. Moroney has been named chief deputy controller. Before his appointment, the Westbury resident had his own law practice. John Mastromarino has been named deputy controller for accounting, payroll, claims and health benefits. He was controller for the Town of Hempstead and lives in Valley Stream.

HEALTH CARE
Dr. Alan M. Jacobson has joined Mineola's Winthrop-University Hospital as chief research officer. The Westbury resident also has been named director of the diabetes, obesity and cardio-metabolic research center at Winthrop. He had directed the behavioral research program at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston.

LAW
Gary Wirth has joined the Woodbury law firm of Kaufman Dolowich Voluck & Gonzo. The Dix Hills resident was at Torre, Lentz, Gamell, Gary & Rittmaster in Jericho.

REAL ESTATE
Robert Lohman has joined the Southampton office of Corcoran Group Real Estate as associate broker after working at Agawam Realty for 20 years. He lives in Southampton.
