The annual Long Island Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Expo will take place this Sunday in Melville.
Now in its fourth year, the event will feature over 100 GLBT-friendly businesses who will be showcasing their products and services, as well as entertainment and music. More than 4,000 people have attended the event annually in the past.
The GLBT Expo will also feature the launch of the new website for GLBT couples, Long Island Gay Weddings. The site, ligayweddings.com, was created by the Long Island Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Services Network to help connect gay couples with GLBT-friendly businesses after New York's legalization of gay marriage last year. Proceeds from the website will go to local anti-bullying campaigns.
Those who are interested in attending the Expo should register for free at ligbltnetwork.org.
