Long Island hires and promotions: Black PR Society

BOARDS

The Black Public Relations Society of New York has elected two officers and one new board member.

Phil Andrews of Flushing, Queens, owner of P.A. Public Relations Co. in Flushing and president of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce in Freeport, has been appointed president.

Lisa Eason of Baldwin Harbor, a freelance photographer/videographer and a junior at Queens College CUNY, has been appointed vice president.

Erna Blackman of St. Albans, founder of Butterflies BBI in St. Albans, Queens, which helps children suffering from hair loss, has been appointed to the board. She is also on the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce board.

Judy L. Simoncic of Woodbury, partner at Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Terrana in Uniondale, has been appointed to the board of directors of Vision Long Island Inc. in Northport, a nonprofit helping to promote smart-gowth development.

REAL ESTATE

Toni Martucci of West Hempstead has been hired as a licensed agent at HomeSmart Premier Living Realty in Uniondale. She was a personal fitness trainer at Lifetime Fitness in Garden City.
