Christopher Zachry, who lives and has a law office in Islip Terrace and is in-house counsel for Global Liberty Insurance Co. in Melville, has been named president of the East Islip Board of Education.

Marc S. Alessi of Shoreham has been named executive director of the Business Incubator Association of New York State. A former state assemblyman, he is of counsel at Campolo, Middleton & McCormick in Ronkonkoma and founded SynchroPET, a biomedical device start-up at Stony Brook University.

Literacy Nassau in Freeport has elected executive officers of its board of directors.

Stephen Bendernagel of Bellmore, senior vice president of multifamily lending at Capital One Bank in Melville, has been elected president.

Judith Beckman of Merrick, managing director of Financial Solutions in Northport, has been elected vice president.

Susan Bevilacqua of Rockville Centre, an attorney and owner of Oceanville Mason Supply in Oceanside, has been elected treasurer.

Jordan Freundlich of Roslyn, an attorney with Vishnick, McGovern Milizio in Lake Success, has been elected secretary.
