Cynthia M. Fitzgerald of Nesconset has been hired as executive director of human resources for Nassau BOCES in Garden City. She directed student support services for the Northport-East Northport School District.

Dr. Latha Chandran of Smithtown, vice dean of academic/faculty affairs and founding director of the scholars program at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, has been elected president of the Academic Pediatric Association in McLean, Virginia.
