Long Island hires and promotions: Huntington man joins Villanova U trustees

Richard J. Kreider of Huntington, retired director at Kohlberg, Kravis Roberts & Co. in Manhattan, has been appointed to the board of trustees at Villanova University in Pennsylvania.

The Association of Professional Volunteer Administrators has added two board members.

Natalie Barnofsky of Hauppauge is senior manager of volunteer activities at the New York Blood Center in Westbury.

James Seegert of Little Neck, Queens, is legal expediter at Vishnick McGovern Milizio in Lake Success.

The Long Island Convention and Visitors Bureau & Sports Commission in Hauppauge has several new board appointments.

Steve Bate of Southold, executive director of the Long Island Wine Council in Riverhead, has been named chairman.

Paul Monte of Montauk, general manager at Gurney’s Inn Resort and Spa in Montauk, has been named vice chairman.

Gloria Rocchio of Stony Brook, president of the Ward Melville Heritage Organization in Stony Brook, has been named secretary.

Michael Johnston of Northport, principal of Concorde Hotel Group in Plainview, has been named treasurer.

Alex I. Gallego of East Norwich has been named president of the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Chamber of Commerce. He is senior vice president, branch director of Gallego Financial Group of Raymond James Financial in Oyster Bay.

John S. Norbeck of Cold Spring Harbor, previously regional director of the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation in Babylon, has been elected to the Caumsett Foundation board of directors in Huntington.


John J. Phelan of Long Beach has been hired as an associate at Smith Sovik Kendrick and Sugnet in East Meadow. He was in the firm’s summer associate program and had an internship with Justice Edward O. Spain in the Third Department in Albany.

Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara and Wolf in Lake Success has hired two new associates.

Greg Itingen of Brooklyn has been hired in the no-fault practice. He was an associate at the law offices of Peter C. Merani in Manhattan.

Susanne Cahill of Dix Hills has been hired in the health practice. She was an attorney at Gentiva Health Services in Melville.
