TECHNOLOGY

Joseph Randazzo, of Mount Sinai, has been promoted to vice president of strategic growth and general counsel at EtQ Inc., a software company in Farmingdale. He was director of business and legal affairs.

EDUCATION

The Valley Stream Union Free School District 13 has two new hires, effective July 1.

Judith LaRocca, of Rockville Centre, has been appointed assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction. She is currently director of curriculum, instruction and technology in the New Hyde Park-Garden City School District.

Daniel P. Farsaci, of upstate Liverpool, has been appointed director of technology. He is currently director of instructional and desktop technologies at Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua.

BOARDS

Helen Liao, of Dix Hills, a partner in the technical review and quality control group at Marcum in Melville, has joined the board of trustees of the Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City.
