Paul F. Wasser of Mount Sinai has been hired as the new president and chief executive of Dominican Village Independent and Assisted Living Community in Amityville. He was executive director at Somerset Gardens Senior Living in Plainview.

EDUCATION

Kellie Cook-McLaurin of Brooklyn has been named assistant principal of the Nassau BOCES in-district Twilight Alternative High School programs in Garden City. She is an adjunct instructor at Queensborough Community College and was the founding principal of New Hope Academy Charter School in Brooklyn.

Copiague School District has announced two new appointments.

Sheri Droz of East Islip has been appointed assistant principal at Deauville Gardens West Elementary School. She has been a teacher, literacy coach and staff developer in the district.

Kristina Biamonte of Inwood has been appointed assistant principal at Deauville Gardens East and Susan E. Wiley elementary schools. She was elementary assistant principal at PS 106Q in Far Rockaway.

HEALTH

Dr. Paul Mustacchia of Oyster Bay has been appointed chairman of the department of medicine at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow. He was acting chair of the department and chief of gastroenterology.

Tanuja Singh Duffy of Astoria has joined as an assistant project manager/administrator. She was a project management assistant with Leader Electric in Manhattan.

Nelly Fuentes of Holtsville has joined as an assistant project manager/administrator. She was an assistant project manager with Island Acoustics in Bohemia.
