Mathew Joseph of Bellerose has been hired as a sales agent at Laffey Real Estate in Manhasset. He was a senior supervisor with the New York City Department of Finance.

 

Kathleen Devine of Sound Beach has been hired as a sales agent for Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Setauket. She was a massage therapist at The Inn and Spa at East Wind in Wading River.

 

Gabriella Caruso of Glen Head has been hired as a sales agent at Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty in Glen Head. She had a similar job at Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Locust Valley.

EDUCATION

 

Deborah Smith of Islip Terrace has been appointed principal of John F. Kennedy Elementary School in East Islip. She was principal of Connetquot Elementary School in East Islip.

 

Elmont Union Free School District has filled two principal positions.

 

Amy Buchanan of West Hempstead, principal of Alden Terrace School in Elmont, has been appointed principal of Dutch Broadway School in Elmont.

 

Shawnee Warfield of Massapequa, assistant principal of Dutch Broadway School in Elmont, has been appointed principal of Alden Terrace School in Elmont.

 

Lillian Niwagaba of Roslyn Heights has joined NYIT in Old Westbury as director of the Center of Global Health. She was a director of education programs for global health at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Catherine M. Silletti of Huntington has been appointed principal of Rushmore Avenue School in Carle Place. She was assistant principal at East Northport Middle School.

BOARDS

 

Kevin J. Dwyer of Manhasset, a partner and senior vice president at SupplyLogic in Hauppauge, has been appointed to the board of the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation in Port Washington.

 

Frequency Electronics Inc. in Uniondale has two new board members.

 

Stanton D. Sloane of Cold Spring Harbor is president and chief executive of Comtech Telecommunications in Melville.

 

Russell Sarachek of Manhattan is the managing director of Contra Capital Management in Manhattan.
