Long Island hires and promotions: Michael Larson, Commack High

EDUCATION

Michael Larson of Stony Brook, coordinator of student affairs and attendance at Commack High School, has been appointed assistant principal at the school.

Lindenhurst Union Free School District has made three appointments.

Marcy Miller of Merrick is the new principal of Albany Avenue Elementary School. She was dean of discipline and assistant principal at the middle school.

Bret Kearney of West Islip, assistant principal at the high school, is a new assistant to the superintendent for special education.

Benjamin Franquiz of Mount Sinai is the new director for special education and pupil personnel services. He was a special ed teacher and committee chairman in Sachem Central School District.

CONSTRUCTION

Racanelli Construction Co. in Melville has hired two project managers. Carmine A. Celleo of Manhasset was a senior project manager with Hunter Roberts Construction Group in Manhattan. Anthony J. Scorcia of East Northport had his own firm, Scorcia & Associates Inc. in Floral Park.
