Long Island hires and promotions: Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners' Assn.

Five Long Island water district commissioners have been elected to the offices of the Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners' Association.

Raymond J. Averna of Massapequa, commissioner of the Massapequa Water District, was elected president.

Andrew N. Bader of Plainview, commissioner of the Plainview Water District, was elected first vice president.

Vincent Abbatiello of Westbury, commissioner of the Westbury Water District, was elected second vice president.

Michael F. Rich III of Oyster Bay, commissioner of the Oyster Bay Water District, was elected secretary.

William Schuckmann of Hicksville, commissioner of the Hicksville Water District, was elected treasurer.


Jaren Fernan of East Islip has been hired as an associate attorney at Lite and Russell in West Islip. He was an intern at the firm through law school.

Nicholas Savino of Manhattan has been hired as an associate at Lazer Aptheker Rosella and Yedid in Melville. He was an associate at Kasowitz, Benson, Torres and Friedman in Manhattan.

Rivkin Radler in Uniondale has hired four new associates.

Sean Gorton of Merrick was a law clerk at Gorton and Gorton in Mineola.

Ada Kozicz of Yorktown Heights was a health law affiliate at Gitenstein Institute for Health Law and Policy in Hempstead.

Steven Lee of Ozone Park was a state pro bono scholar law clerk at New York Legal Assistance Group in Manhattan.

Sean Simensky of Locust Valley was a law intern at Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo and Terrana in Uniondale.


H2M architects + engineers in Melville has two new promotions.

Kevin Taylor of Holtsville has been promoted to department manager of environmental forensics. He was practice leader/manager of science.

Danny Tanzi of Sayville, assistant vice president, has been promoted to studio director of emergency services and municipalities in the architecture department. He was assistant vice president and senior architect.
