Richard J. Murphy of Mount Sinai, president and CEO of South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, has been elected chair of the Healthcare Association of New York State Board of trustees in Rensselaer and appointed to the association’s executive committee.

David Carl of East Meadow was deputy bureau chief of the social services office of the Nassau County Attorney.

Christine Cavanagh of Commack was an associate with Atlas Law Group in Melville.

Morgan Romano of Medford has been hired as the marketing coordinator at Campolo, Middleton & McCormick in Ronkonkoma. She was an administrative assistant at East/West Industries Inc. in Ronkonkoma.

Cheryl L. Berger of Great Neck has been hired as a litigation attorney at Reisman Peirez Reisman & Capobianco in Garden City. She was senior counsel in the New York City Law Department in Manhattan.
