Tracey A. Edwards of Dix Hills has been hired as executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk in Middle Island. She was regional president at Verizon in Garden City and served on the Huntington Town Board.

Literacy Suffolk Inc. in Bellport has announced two promotions.

Susan Shiloni of Medford, education and program services director, has been promoted to executive director.

Tracy Speelman of Centereach, program services manager, has been promoted to program services director.

LAW

Brian T. Sinsabaugh of Farmingdale has been hired as an associate in litigation and land use at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman in Hauppauge. He was an associate at Curtin Law Firm in upstate Cazenovia.

HEALTH CARE

Dr. Sanjey Gupta of Rockville Centre, vice chair of emergency medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, has been promoted to chair of emergency medicine at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.

Dr. Scott J. Koenig of Woodbury has been hired as a foot/ankle specialist at Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group in Woodbury and Bohemia. He held the same position at ProHEALTH Care Associates in Lake Success.

Old Westbury College Foundation Inc. has elected two new trustees to its board.

EDUCATION

Nassau BOCES Long Island High School for the Arts in Syosset has hired three new faculty members.

Timothy Peterson of Huntington, visual arts and film teacher, was a specialist in professional development for creative technologies at Nassau BOCES in Garden City.

Traci Peterson of Baldwin, hired to teach dance, was a visiting artist at the school.

Erik Chocianowski of Massapequa, hired to teach theater, was a visiting lecturer at the school.

Rebecca O’Connell of the Village of Westbury has been hired as managing director and region manager for middle-market banking and specialized industries at JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking in Melville. She was a senior vice president at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Melville.
