The Melville-based computer-chip seller Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. has agreed to open its distribution network to a new partner, a Texas power-supply maker.
Lineage Power Corp., of Plano, Tex., makes components that regulate electricity flow to laptops and other devices. Lineage’s telecom customers include Verizon, AT&T, Apple and Huawei, a major Chinese communications maker.
The partnership will offer Lineage Power's AC-DC power supplies and DC-DC board mounted power modules to manufacturers through the international Nu Horizons sales network.
"The addition of Lineage to our power portfolio offers our customers quality products at competitive prices," Kent Smith, president of the Nu Horizons global distribution group, said in a news statement.
Lineage's products measure up to "the most demanding applications within the datacom, telecom, medical, military and industrial markets," Smith said.
