Merger for Garden City accounting firm

A Garden City accounting firm, Biscotti, Toback & Co., has merged with a much larger national firm, WeiserMazars Llp, which has an office in Lake Success.

The merger is part of the WeiserMazars firm's strategy of increasing its range of clients, "including those that are larger and more complex," the firm said.

`WeiserMazars, with more than 100 partners and 700 professional employees, has seven offices in the U.S., and offices in Israel and the Cayman Islands.

With eight partners and more than 30 employees, Biscotti, Toback, is a regional firm specializing in the food and beverage industry.

Andrew M. Cohen, partner-in-charge of WeiserMazars' Long Island practice, said in a Tuesday statement, "together, we look forward to extending this quality service to Long Island and beyond."

Biscotti, Toback clients include Kozy Shack Enterprises; J. Kings Food Service Professionals, Inc.; Porky Products, Inc.; Intercounty Appliance Corporation; Imperial Bag and Paper Co., LLC; A&Z Pharmaceuticals, Inc.; Fruitcrown Products Corp.; Citrus and Allied Essences Ltd.
