Canon, the Japanese camera maker with its Americas headquarters in Lake Success, has established Canon Solutions America Inc.
The subsidiary will provide sales and support services for Canon and Oce products and software.
Oce, a Dutch manufacturer of printers, agreed to be purchased by Canon in late 2009 but the $1-billion deal was held up for about two years as shareholders demanded more money. The new subsidiary is part of a larger integration of Canon and Oce operations.
Canon U.S.A. chief executive Joe Adachi will also head Canon Solutions.
Separately, another subsidiary Oce Business Services will change its name to Canon Business Process Services Inc., with headquarters in Manhattan.
Oce Financial Services Inc. will merge with Canon Financial Services Inc. in Mount Laurel, N.J. The changes take effect on Jan. 1.
