Pass offers Hamptons' savings

Hamptons retailers are looking to pick up new customers and boost sales with a little online help.

BuyWithMe, a year-old collective buying website offering deals, on Tuesday launched its new Hamptons Pass -- a $100 card that offers deals and complimentary items and services throughout the summer.

“We bring the hottest merchants in the Hamptons to provide a larger collective value,” said Cheryl Rosner, chief executive of BuyWithMe. “We have 36 merchants in the Hamptons, from Nick & Toni’s and The Boathouse. You can use your pass over and over again and get great values and access.”

For $100, shoppers can get complimentary drinks -- often with a purchase of a meal -- at restaurants such as Townline BBQ. There are discounts at Helicopter Flight Services, rooms at the Southampton Inn as well as 10 percent off spa and hair services at Salon Xavier in Sag Harbor.

Pet owners can get a complimentary checkup for their pets by Cindy Bressler at Hamptons House Call Vet, described by BuyWithMe as the vet to the stars. And the Hamptons Pet Club is offering half-day doggie daycare with 24-hour boarding.

There are some deals that can be redeemed only once, like a free session at Studio 89, but overall the pass could save shoppers more than $1,000, Rosner said.

"You can advertise in traditional ways, spend money and not be sure what you will get," Rosner said. "But in the case with BuyWithMe, you know the person walking to the front door is a discoverer and it's up to them [the merchants] to turn that customer into a lifetime customer."

The pass is on sale until June 22 and is good July 1-Sept. 30.
