Journalist David Brancaccio will speak at Adelphi University tonight on the topic "Adventures in Economic Disaster: What the Financial Crisis Means for Justice and Jobs in the Next Generation."

Brancaccio's talk, on the Garden City campus, will take place at 7 p.m. in the Ruth S. Harley University Center's Thomas Dixon Lovely Ballroom.

Brancaccio is host and editor of Now, a television newsmagazine on PBS that focuses on human rights, national security, health care, the environment, and science policy.

Brancaccio, author of the 2000 book "Squandering Aimlessly," won the Walter Cronkite Award for excellence in television political coverage in 2009.
