ACEL compression socks are proud to announce its sponsorship of ProCX series racer Jen Malik, currently ranked in the top 50 nationally amongst professional women cyclists. Having recently won the Cap City Cross #3 in Granville, OH, Jen is climbing quickly up the polls in only her second year competing professionally. Racing collegiately for Ohio State University while working on her PhD in Biomedical Engineering is inspirational and embodies the characteristics that ACEL looks for in representatives of the ACEL brand.
“We’re thrilled to support such a talented and energetic competitor both on and off the track,” says Cathy Sovde, Director of Marketing Communications with ACEL. “Jen represents excellence through an incredible work ethic as she balances a rigorous academic schedule at one of our countries great institutions while training and racing as an elite athlete every week. At ACEL we strive to be just as devoted to providing better solutions day in and out for our customers. Jen embodies those same traits, which is why we’re so excited to support her in her quest for success.”
ACEL compression socks work an important role in managing and recovering from Jen's rigorous schedule and is another reason why this sponsorship fit so well. “ACEL compression socks are perfect for helping my legs stay fresh before and after a hard workout or race. I spend a lot of time traveling on the road to races and events, so keeping my legs fresh sitting on a long car ride is just as important as recovery post-race," per Jen's take on ACEL compression socks and the sponsorship. "I’m incredibly excited about this sponsorship as I highly value working with companies that share my enthusiasm for athletics and improving yourself as an athlete.”
You can continue to follow Jen on Facebook as she makes a push for the leader boards throughout the rest of ProCX Series and beyond, as her ambitions don’t stop there. She aspires to race internationally. The ProCX series national championships finish up in Austin, Texas January 7-11 2016.
