Arab Women University Announces Workshop on Social Entrepreneurship

The recent tragedy caused by the hurricane Haiyen in the Philippines threw the world into a state of confusion and helplessness as thousands upon thousands of lives were lost and people lost their homes and possessions in a matter of minutes. This has triggered activists, NGOs and individual level charities to help ease the misery of the hurricane victims. Multinational companies, educational institutes including online universities and other organizations are all collaborating together to contribute to the cause and Arab Women University is no different.

Arab Women University recently announced a workshop on the theme of Social Entrepreneurship to make its students more aware about the various problems in the world and what can be done to help solve them. In particular, youngsters all over the globe are becoming increasingly active in this regard and carry out volunteer activities, donations and campaigns on a regular basis to play their part. Students at Arab Women University are encouraged to do the same. In this region, women empowerment is a major issue and a lot of organizations are trying to give Arab women a voice so that they get the status they truly deserve. The upcoming workshop will focus on these issues and the individual role they can play to work out possible solutions.
